Special Issue of
Asia–Pacific Journal of Financial Studies
on Sustainable Finance
Special Issue Editor: Xin Chang (Nanyang Technological University)
Sustainable finance integrates environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into business and investment decisions for sustainable outcomes, which include reducing inequality, improving inclusiveness, reducing pollution, and mitigating and adapting to the adverse effects of climate change, among others.
To stimulate research on sustainable finance, the Asia–Pacific Journal of Financial Studies (AJFS) invites manuscripts for a special issue on “Sustainable Finance”, scheduled for publication in 2022. AJFS became the first finance journal published in the Asia-Pacific region covered by the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) in 2006. This special issue invites both empirical and theoretical papers in all areas of sustainable finance. Topics of interest for this special issue are broad, including but not limited to:
Assessing, pricing, and managing environmental and climate risk
Green bonds, climate bonds, and social bonds
Responsible banking and lending
Weather and climate derivatives
Innovations in sustainable finance
Socially responsible investing (SRI), ESG investing, and impact investing
Determinants and consequences of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and corporate environmental responsibility (CER)
The impact of climate change on corporate policies
Green reward and compensation
Sustainable finance in emerging markets
AWARDS:
Up to eight (8) papers will be selected and US$1,000 award will be granted to each selected paper.

To submit your paper, you should log in to your account on the Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies - ScholarOne Manuscripts site at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ajfs as an Author. All manuscripts should be submitted by July 31, 2021. Submission fee is waived, so upload the Submission Charge Form without PayPal information to complete your submission in Step 5 of the submission process. We expect to complete the review process and notify the result by December 31, 2021. Early-accepted papers may appear before the publication of the special issue, which is scheduled for April 2022.
